In preparing an estimate, the quantities of different items of work are calculated by simple mensuration method and from these quantities, the cost is calculated. Manual method of estimation is time consuming with respect to the quantity estimation. Existing estimation software need to be input with quantities which can be only calculated manually from 2D drawings. this is major weakness of the system. By adding a scanning method to calculate the quantity automatically from drawings, Estimax attempts to reduce the time for estimation drastically. Rate Analysis can be easily done with the sub functions like Rate Master, Work Sub Group. Reports can be easily prepared.
